E7 - CCBHC Financial Planning: Linking Your Needs Assessment to Your Long-term Plan

The mission of CCBHCs is to provide an expanded bundle of behavioral health services to the communities it serves. The goal of this session is to link the CCBHC needs assessment to the long-term financial plan. Participants will first learn of the elements of a community needs assessment and the metrics that connect with the financial plan. Presenters will then explain the intersection of the needs assessment with a financial plan, including key utilization. This supply and demand analysis will then be transitioned to a financial plan required to meet the need and ensure financial sustainability of the program.
Learning Objectives:
Define the key metrics of a community needs assessment that feed into the CCBHC long-term financial plan.
Describe how to convert the metrics from the needs assessment to financial measures utilized in developing the financial plan
Discuss how to develop a financial plan, project operating revenue and expenses, based on the needs assessment measures
