MHFA5 - How Different Perspectives Enrich MHFA Trainings

Let's explore the vital role of culturally aware voices in MHFA trainings. Transparency and trust are a must when creating a rich and educational training. We demonstrate how being able to share our own experiences potentially enhances the content and engagement of participants. Attendees will walk away with practical language and evidence-based techniques to gather Latine community voices. There is a call-to-action and thanks to MHFA we trained over 300 participants in Spanish/English with an emphasis on culture. The magic in healing begins and hope is spread when we openly discuss mental health within various cultural and social spaces.
