Grace Grinnell is the Program Associate for Suicide Education and Support for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Connecticut and an Instructor for the Connecticut Alliance to Benefit Law Enforcement's Crisis Intervention Team training for police and first responders. Grace is a certified Recovery Support Specialist and has provided mental health and suicide prevention presentations to middle and high school students and faculty since 2016. She is a strong believer in the importance of mental health education and reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness. She currently is the Vice President of the NAMI Farmington Valley Affiliate and has served on the board for the past nine years. Grace serves on the board of the State of Connecticut Children Behavioral Health Plan Implementation Advisory Board and is a current member of the Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board Lived Experience Committee.
