Ms. Chapman is the Senior Engagement Officer at Kennebec Behavioral Health (KBH), and has worked at the agency for over 10 years. KBH is a distinguished non-profit organization that has been a cornerstone of mental health and substance use disorder services in central Maine since 1960. KBH offers a comprehensive array of services, including clinic-based, community-based, outreach, and residential programs, catering to individuals of all ages who experience mental illness, emotional difficulties, or behavioral challenges. The organization's mission is to enhance the well-being of individuals through effective and innovative care.
Ms. Chapman, as the Senior Engagement Officer, plays a pivotal role in the success and growth of KBH. She oversees the fiscal and administrative aspects of the agency’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) program. This program, which began with a CCBHC Expansion grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), continues to thrive with a current CCBHC Improvement & Advancement grant, as well as by participating in Maine’s CCBHC Demonstration project in collaboration with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
In her multifaceted role, Ms. Chapman administers and supervises KBH’s Substance Use Prevention, Intervention, and Grant Services program. She is also responsible for agency development and communications, public relations, and marketing. Her leadership has been instrumental in forming KBH’s “Connections Team,” which proactively recognizes staff for exceptional customer service and professional accomplishments. Furthermore, she has established an agency wellness team and the IDEA team to promote Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness.
Beyond her professional commitments, Ms. Chapman is a dedicated Rotarian. She currently holds the position of Immediate Past District Governor for District 7790. Her passion for service extends both locally and globally, where she strives to make a meaningful difference through her volunteer efforts.
