Jessica Perusse, LCSW-R, is the director of the Camden Life Center and a dedicated clinical social worker committed to serving her rural community. She founded the Camden Life Center in 2019 with a vision that “everyone should have access to excellent services, regardless of where we live.”
Before establishing the Camden Life Center, Jessica led the Homeless Program at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, where she developed outreach initiatives and programming to address the needs of rural veterans. She has shared her expertise on a national level, presenting at the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans Annual Conference in 2012 on “Providing Homeless Outreach in a Rural Setting” and at the National Homeless Program Leaders Conference in 2018 on “Critical Time Intervention and Shared Case Management Teams.”
Jessica's deep understanding of the interplay between housing, mental health, substance use, and physical health, combined with her knowledge of rural culture and innovative use of limited resources, allows her to offer unique strategies for overcoming challenges in rural communities.
