Shelly Kelley is the MHFA Project Director with Southeast Kansas Mental Health Center and an Army Veteran having served 8 years active duty participating in deployments in Afghanistan and Kosovo; specializing in Communications for Infantry Divisions in combat zones. She has a strong personal and professional passion to inspire people to know that they matter, as well as lived experience. She has channeled her passion to abolish the stigma of mental health to remind people that recovery is possible. She holds certifications to teach QPR and MHFA in Adult, Youth, Military, Veterans, and Their Families, Higher Education, Community Corrections, Fire and EMS, and Public Safety. Shelly has dedicated her work to educating communities and providing connections to resources needed to promote resiliency for those in need. She brings rich personal experiences and examples to make her workshops relatable and relevant for participants.
