Mr. Jimel Sandoval, BA, (he, him) is a tribal member of the San Felipe Pueblo Community. Jimel’s tenure at San Felipe spans over 12 years of grant and community service work where he has served in the capacity of a youth mentor and coordinator, co-director and Principal Investigator of several federally funded grants. With a strong cultural background and fluency in the Keres language and a degree in English from the University of New Mexico, he had oversight in the development and implementation of tribal youth suicide prevention and early intervention strategies across all child and youth supporting organizations. As the current director of Community Health Programs, he aims to expand his previous efforts across the entire San Felipe health & wellness organization to transform the way healthcare is delivered in San Felipe. Jimel is a YMHFA Instructor.
