Angela Garza McWethy, LICSW working under the Senior Director in the Workforce Development workstream, focuses on launching the Post-Master’s Associate programs in the markets outside of CA. She works closely with market operations leaders and the Director of Mental Health Scholars Academy for coordination and alignment as part of the National Mental Health and Wellness team.
She began her career with Kaiser Permanente in 2015 as an Integrated Mental Health Social Worker supporting patient access to mental health services in the primary care setting. Over the last several years, she has taken on multiple roles including managing social work staff, developing an MSW internship program at KPWA, supporting the KPWA MHW service line as a program manager, and operational management of the first Addiction Recovery Services clinic at KPWA. She is passionate about equity, inclusion, and diversity (EID) and has used this focus to develop best clinical practices in providing patient care while reducing stigma to accessing mental health and addiction recovery support. Angela earned her BA and master’s in social work from the University of Washington in Seattle. She currently lives in the Seattle area.
