Kathryn-Mary (Kamy) Wakim is a Health Research Scientist at Carelon Behavioral Health. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2015 and completed her M.S. (2018) and PhD (2021) in Neuroscience at the University of Rochester. She pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine within the Montefiore Hospital system (2021 - 2023) which focused on using advanced imaging and neural recording techniques to identify brain biomarkers for early detection of a variety of psychiatric, neurological, and neurodevelopmental conditions. She currently specializes in applied behavioral health research, using predictive modeling and statistical analysis of large claims datasets to derive population health insights. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate certificate in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine. A Lebanese-American, Kamy is fluent in Arabic and has basic proficiency in French. In her personal time, she enjoys rock music, crochet, stage makeup, photo editing, and taking walks through her neighborhood.
