Shelina Davis, MPH, MSW is a public health social worker, community connector, and health equity ambassador. She serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI) where she has the honor of leading and working in partnership with a team of nearly 100 talented public health professionals along with 500+ community partners on over 70 projects in a given year to advance LPHI's mission of leading and partnering with community to ensure everyone has fair and just opportunities to be healthy and well. Shelina brings nearly two decades of experience in leadership development, organizational change management, mental health and addictions prevention, treatment and recovery, public health, and health systems development. Shelina gives back to her local community and to the next generation of leaders as a board member of Albert Schweitzer Fellowship - New Orleans; Emancipet – nonprofit pet clinic organization; GPOA Foundation– a grantmaking, independent foundation which supports programs that serve young people in New Orleans; National Networks of Public Health Institutes – a membership association of 50+ public health institutes across the country; Propeller – a New Orleans-based social entrepreneurship non-profit organization; and the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. Shelina is a proud Louisianan, Historically Black College & University (HBCU) graduate; and lives in New Orleans with her husband, Kenny Lamberti.
