For the past 20 years, Erin Kinsel has worked in behavioral health systems in both Ohio and North Carolina and developed a passion for helping the justice involved population. She has worked with adults and children in institutional settings, managed a Supported Employment agency, and spent the past 10 years assisting individuals with Serious Mental Illness transition from institutional settings to the less restrictive community-based settings. Erin worked various roles under the North Carolina Transitions to Community Living settlement as a Transition Coordinator, Diversion Screener, State Hospital Transition Lead, Head of In Reach and Diversion, and is now the Director of STAR (Support Transition and Reentry) at Trillium Health Resources. This Reentry program supports adults with Serious Mental Illness transitioning out of correctional facilities to the communities of their choice. Erin currently supervises clinicians, QPs, peer staff, and program managers. For the past 11 years, Ms. Kinsel has been on the frontline helping to create and develop innovative programs in the state of North Carolina for adults with Serious Mental Illness. She recently earned her MSW and has an LCSW in NC.
