How do we inspire change in the culture of our teams and agency? By providing support to staff in adopting the change, advocating where needed, modeling the change ourselves, and consistency. This is no different when it comes to the use of self-care to maintain our wellness as helping professionals and as people. We start by broadening our view of self-care to encompass all 10 areas of wellness. Then, by creating and implementing our own clear self-care goals, we can model by example to those we lead, and support them in doing the same.
