    G9 - Meeting Clients Where They Are: Expanding Rural Crisis Services

    This presentation examines the first six months of Santa Fe Recovery Center’s (SFRC) launch of a crisis center and mobile crisis team, co-located at the new Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) in Gallup, New Mexico. We take a deep dive into these vital services' implementation and operation processes to meet the needs of a rural community consisting of primarily Native American and Hispanic-identified residents. Through data trend reports and exploring strategies for collaboration with community partners, we discuss insights into the challenges, lessons learned, and successes of establishing and bringing together transformational mental health and crisis services.

    • Explore the launching and co-locating of a crisis center and a mobile crisis team at a CCBHC in a rural community with different populations.
    • Review effective methods for coordinating with community partners to strengthen service delivery across the crisis continuum while working with individuals with intersecting minority identities.
