Dr. Correa is a native of Brazil and graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general psychiatry and fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine. He is a diplomate in general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Since graduate training, Dr. Correa has worked in a variety of clinical roles, including medical director of inpatient and outpatient services. In addition to his experience as a psychiatrist, Dr. Correa is an epidemiologist, having graduated with a master’s degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Dr. Correa is currently works for Carelon Behavioral Health as the medical director for the Connecticut Behavioral Health Partnership (CT BHP), which he first joined in 2016 as an associate medical director. He is fluent in Portuguese, his native language, Spanish, and English.
