Anne Tyree is the Regional CEO for Centerstone’s operations in Illinois. She has worked for human service and not for profit organizations for more than 30 years, including organizations for women in Chicago who were chronically unhoused; runaway and unhoused youth; a state public university, a consulting firm and for the last 20+ years for community behavioral healthcare organizations.
In her leadership roles Anne has secured CCBHC state certification for a State of Illinois CCBHC demonstration grant; developed over 200 units of permanent supportive housing; helped to fund and develop a model of primary care integration for adults with serious mental illness and expanded it to rural communities; launched school-based mental health service partnerships for youth across Southern Illinois; and opened the first new Medicaid methadone clinic in the far southern 28 counties of Illinois.
Anne received her BA from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and her master’s in public administration with a specialization in health care administration from American Public University, both summa cum laude. She is past president and director for the Community Behavioral Healthcare Association of Illinois. Currently she leads a state regional advisory committee to integrate 988 and 911 services across Illinois, and was recently appointed to an Illinois task force on Medicaid administrative burden reduction. Previously she served on the Governor’s Task Force for Supportive Housing. She retired from the Illinois Air National Guard,126th Medical Squadron as 0-4, Squadron and Medical Logistics Officer. Born and raised in Chicago, Anne now lives in Southwestern Illinois.
