Lauren Spector has over a decade of experience working to provide advocacy, care, and education to the Great Cleveland community. Her work as a school-based therapist and English teacher while simultaneously studying for her Masters in Social Work provided her with an acute awareness of what young people in crisis prioritize and how to address individual specific needs. As a licensed social worker, Lauren is dedicated to maintaining community relationships, providing community based assistance, and utilizing trauma-informed services to assist clients of varying ages and abilities. All of these experiences lended themselves to be of the utmost importance when she transitioned to her role as the SART Regional Coordinator at Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. Creating, fostering, and maintain community relationships has been a pinnacle of Lauren’s career and a crucial element to her ability to conduct trainings, conferences, and advocate for survivors in regional Northeast Ohio.
