Jacqueline Mace is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and a Credentialed Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She has over a decade of experience working with teens and their families in various roles, including seven years in community mental health. Jacqueline has served as both a direct care provider and leader in outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for children ages 12-17 with substance use disorders.
Jacqueline is an advocate for both empowering and involving youth as a driving force in decreasing drug related teen deaths. She has facilitated community wide coalition work focused on the prevention of youth substance use. In partnership with a Kansas City area school district, she led the development and implementation of diversion programming to increase protective factors for students with drug related disciplinary issues. In 2023, she was a National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s scholarship awardee and participated in the Youth Substance Use Prevention Summit in Los Angeles.
Jacqueline lives in the Kansas City area with her husband and two sons. She currently provides therapy services to individuals ages 12 and up with focus areas including adolescent mental health and recovery support. Working with youth who use drugs has left a lasting impact on her approach to therapy, inspiring her to incorporate humor, creativity, and warmth into treatment.
