Founder and Chairman
The Quell Foundation
East Falmouth, Massachusetts
As Founder, Kevin Lynch created The Quell Foundation with a mission to reduce the stigma of mental illness by encouraging open dialogue and increasing pathways to support, training, and education – empowering individuals and communities to achieve mental wellness.
His drive to create a paradigm shift in the care and treatment of people who have a mental illness stems from the knowledge he gained and relationships he built while researching his graduate thesis, “Mental Health in Massachusetts: A De facto Criminal Offense.” This research acknowledged that the rates of suicide, opioid addiction, overdose, and incarceration of those with a mental health challenge, directly correlate to the shortage and lack of access to mental health professionals.
The Foundation is a nationally acclaimed mental health organization known for turning advocacy into measurable change through its prestigious scholarship program, educational documentary series, and first responder training initiatives.
Prior to The Quell Foundation, Kevin spent 17 years in health care on senior management teams and 12 years in the military as a member of the elite United States Submarine Force. He earned a master’s degree in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University, where he currently sits on the Alumni Society Executive Board. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Lynn University, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.
