MP8 - Coming Together: A Collaborative Approach to Treatment and Staff Retention

Our communities of care, including those providing essential treatment for persons with mental illnesses, are continually challenged by workforce shortage and provider burnout requiring collaborative and innovative solutions. Recovery Enhancement Practices (REP) is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) informed approach offering entry level staff practical skills in recovery-oriented treatment. The REP training process incorporates ongoing consultation, skills practice with feedback, and the shared learning and support that comes with a cohort approach. REP will be introduced while showcasing the collaborative partnership among higher education, community behavioral health, and the local behavioral health board.
