MTS2 - Building Trust Through Leader Visibility

We’ll discuss our leadership visibility journey in a Behavioral Health Network comprised of seven hospitals spanning across the state of CT with more than 3000 colleagues. While our leadership rounding initially began with an agenda to improve patient experience scores, we quickly realized that to improve the patient experience, we needed to engage colleagues meaningfully and improve the colleague experience. To improve the colleague experience, in part, we needed to dive into our opportunity to build more trust. The journey has opened our eyes to the importance of trust within a team as well as leadership.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will examine how leadership visibility impacts trust on the part of staff and teams.
Attendees will explore how high trust levels in teams helps to build a better experience for both clients and staff.
Attendees will identify practical tips for how to round with staff with a focus on teams and creating a culture of trust.
