Jonathan Thomas joined the ADAMH team in January 2015. In his current role as Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan is responsible for managing the operational performance of ADAMH. This includes strategic planning, adjudication of provider services claims, data governance, and information technology. He also has served as ADAMH's lead in the development of the Franklin County Crisis Care Center. Jonathan also holds a Lecturer position in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University where he teaches a variety of courses, focused mostly on program evaluation and issues related to mental health and substance use disorders. Jonathan studied both psychology and social work before earning his master’s degree in public policy and management from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University. Having started his career working in direct services at an ADAMH-funded agency, Jonathan has experiences working with both youth in residential treatment settings and families providing treatment foster care services. He also held leadership positions with the Ohio Department of Health and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center prior to joining ADAMH. Jonathan is a member of Leadership Columbus’ Signature Program’s Class of 2021, and he completed the National Association of Counties High Performance Leadership Academy in 2023. Jonathan loves any opportunity to support the design and implementation of efficient and effective solutions with his colleagues, the ADAMH network of providers, and partners across Franklin County in order to accomplish ADAMH’s vision where all individuals and families in Franklin County can achieve optimal mental health and wellness, free from stigma, with equitable access to quality services and supports.
