Makenzie Folsom, MEd, QMHP, CPS, CADC1, Prevention and Outreach Coordinator
Makenzie Folsom has served as the Prevention and Outreach Coordinator at Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) since 2021. She holds a Bachelor’s in Family and Human Services and a Master’s in Prevention Science, both from the University of Oregon. Makenzie leads KBBH’s Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program (ADPEP), coordinates Overdose Postvention efforts, and directs the youth substance use prevention coalition in Klamath County.
With certifications as a Qualified Mental Health Professional, Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor, and Certified Prevention Specialist, Makenzie applies evidence-based strategies to address substance use and its root causes. Her work focuses on community education, outreach, and fostering resilience to promote well-being.
Makenzie’s efforts are driven by a commitment to upstream prevention and empowering individuals and communities to make informed choices for healthier futures.
