As a QP and CPSS, Laurie has worked in the MH/SU field for over 20 years following the start of her own personal recovery journey in 1999. She has held positions within drug treatment programs, on Intensive In-Home teams, as a responder for Mobile Crisis Management, and as a case manager for an FBC/Detox facility. For the past seven years, she has been privileged to serve as the Team Leader for RHA Health Services' Peer Living Room (PLR). In this role, she is responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring new Peer Support Specialists while also providing supportive services to individuals that frequent the PLR. In addition, this year Laurie has taken on the leadership role of a brand new Peer Support Collaborative program that RHA has begun across the state of North Carolina.
