Board-certified physician, statesman, healthcare visionary, and fighter pilot, Ernie Fletcher was elected in 1998 to the first of three consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives where he served as chair of the Health Policy Committee. In 2003 he was elected the 60th Governor of Kentucky when he founded the Recovery Kentucky Program that provides almost 2000 recovery beds serving individuals with substance use disorder. He has served as CEO for St. Josheph Medical Foundation, Alton Healthcare and LiveOn™ Wellness Centers focusing on lifestyle diseases. He also served as a Senior Medical Advisor and the acting Chief Health Officer for the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia where he, working with the Principal Deputy Director, established the CDC Health and Well-being Counsel. As Co-founder of the Fletcher Group with Glenna, his wife, he continues a legacy of innovative public service that promises to extend the company's unique model of "Recovery Ecosystems" to states across the country. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Medical Degree from the University of Kentucky. He holds a medical license in Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida and is a Distinguished Fellow of The American Academy of Family Practice. He and his wife have 2 children and nine grandchildren.
