Abbie McClung, MBA, QMHA-I, Chief Public Relations Officer
Abbie McClung returned to Klamath Basin Behavioral Health (KBBH) in 2017, bringing expertise in corporate communications and small business management to the nonprofit sector. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communication Studies from Oregon Tech, an MBA from Southern Oregon University, and is a certified Qualified Mental Health Associate. Abbie previously served KBBH in a supervisory prevention role for five years before transitioning to focus on marketing, communications, and public relations.
Abbie is dedicated to reducing stigma surrounding mental health and substance use treatment and using innovative communication strategies to position behavioral health as essential to overall well-being. She led efforts to integrate public and behavioral health approaches into prevention strategies and is a skilled presenter in public, private, and nonprofit settings. Abbie emphasizes authenticity and connection in all her work, fostering awareness and trust through community education and outreach.
Outside of work, Abbie serves her community as a City Councilor in Klamath Falls, Oregon and represents children and families navigating Type 1 Diabetes on the Sky Lakes Medical Center Diabetes Advisory Board.
